Strategy

The Pantry is positioned as a Casual Family Value concept, serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Day Parts.  A typical Pantry Restaurant is 3,500 to 4,000 sf, located in high-density suburban communities, community hubs, or hotels. Our service appeals to young families who are middle-income earners, value and health conscious, and who normally cook at home.

Much of The Pantry’s success is attributed to a consistent and exceptional customer experience. Our families are invited into a comfortable, casual and contemporary restaurant environment where everyone is welcomed. Healthy menu choices emphasize fresh, home-style, comfort food at affordable prices, while our service demonstrates our commitment to providing the type of caring and quality a mother would provide to her family and guests at home.

As a part of The Pantry’s future growth strategy, new locations will be predominantly freestanding, with select hotel sites available.

It is very refreshing to work with a franchisor's team who understands that its success comes from the success of the franchisees.  It is also very rare to have an open policy such as the one that is now in place at RAMMP.  I believe their brands will go far.

FAQS

  • Do I need previous restaurant experience?

  • No, but of course any experience you have in the food service industry will help. More than anything, we are looking for people with sound business sense who get our concept and share our high standards of customer service. If you do not have full service restaurant experience, we will provide additional training.
  • How much does a Pantry franchise cost?

  • The initial investment is $50,000 to acquire a license.  Amounts vary dramatically depending on many factors: whether you are converting an existing restaurant or starting up a brand new operation; square footage,; the cost of construction in your particular market; the local and general economy and other key factors. Our Development Department can do an estimate based on your specific circumstances.
  • What is my return on investment?

  • How much you make will vary depending upon your skills and abilities, the marketplace, your competition, interest rates, the economy, inflation, labour, and supply cost and lease terms. As we proceed, our Accounting Department can assist you in preparing cash flow projections that take into account the realities of your specific market.
  • How long does it take to be approved and build a store?

  • The Application Process from initial inquiry to the Leadership/Support Team’s approval will take from two to six weeks. Once your application and restaurant site has received approval, the time frame to opening day will vary from three to twelve months. A customized schedule will be created to fit your specific needs and circumstances.
  • What am I getting when I become a Pantry franchisee?

  • The successful franchisee candidate is getting a successful, well established and proven restaurant concept with a systems approach to every facet of the business.  Each franchisee is supported by our all-star partnership of restaurant industry veterans with over 100 years of cumulative restaurant and business expertise with a track record of successful and sustained brand growth and development. All franchisees are considered as partners and as such are actively supported with the tools required to succeed.
At The Pantry Restaurants, we strive to provide the best customer experience with good old fashioned home style food that keeps our clientele coming back.
